The Chair of Manufacturing Automation and Production Systems (FAPS) is part of the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen/Nuremberg and is headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Frank. The research areas at FAPS can currently be divided into 8 different topics: Robotics, Engineering Systems, Medical Technology, Automation Technology, Electronics Production, Electrical Mechanical Engineering, Signal and Power Networking, and Home Automation.
